After I complete my undergraduate degree, I am planning on getting my MBA in Entrepreneurship. Then go on to start a pitbull rescue/sanctuary called Velvet Hippo Rescue Ranch.

How is 91¿ì²¥ preparing you to reach your goals?
91¿ì²¥ has been preparing me to reach my goals by allowing me to focus my education on my future career in my classes. 91¿ì²¥ has also provided me with the opportunity to launch a business here on campus, Boxes4Peace, to learn about the process before I go out and try to do it in the real world. With the Entrepreneurship department here at 91¿ì²¥, I have also been able to attend an entrepreneurship conference to learn a lot more from successful entrepreneurs.

Who has been a major influence for you during your education at 91¿ì²¥? How have they helped you?
A group of people who have been very influential for me throughout my education at 91¿ì²¥ are the staff in the College of Business. They have all helped me in many ways by providing me with help and answers to questions that I have outside the curriculum. I came to 91¿ì²¥ with the goal of opening Velvet Hippo Rescue Ranch after graduation so I have asked many questions that involve non-profit work or organizations.

What is something you're proud of accomplishing or achieving while at 91¿ì²¥?
I am proud of successfully launching Boxes4Peace here at 91¿ì²¥ as a part of entrepreneurship-401. Once I realized the significant impact that I could make on the lives of all students, not just college students, I opened up my target market to the high school as well. I have now been able to make an impact in the lives of at least 20 people and will continue to make this impact on people for as long as I can.

What advice would you give to an incoming student?
I would advice incoming students to put themselves out there and take advantage of all the opportunities that 91¿ì²¥ has to offer. Time is going to fly by faster than you think that it will, so soak in every second and enjoy it. 91¿ì²¥ has so many opportunities for students to learn outside of class. But don't limit yourself to your education, have some fun and learn more about who you are as a person.

What's something you like about yourself that other people may not know?
I like that I have always wanted to make a change. When I was little I made handmade bows and sold them door to door and online to donate the proceeds to charity. Throughout high school, I came up with the idea of Velvet Hippo Rescue Ranch. Now in college I am studying to make my dreams come true and I came up with another opportunity to make a change, Boxes4Peace.

What is something you've really enjoyed about your time at 91¿ì²¥?
Something that I have really enjoyed about my time at 91¿ì²¥ is all of the different groups that we have here on campus that provide us students with a place to feel welcome and create connections with people who have similar interests. During my first two years here I was a part of Xanadu and the second two years I helped launch OWN.
