Spanish

College of Arts and Sciences

Campus Location: Crete

The Spanish program gives you insight into the second most spoken language in the world. With an increased demand for Spanish-speaking people in a multitude of fields such as business and communication, having a Spanish degree proves marketable - especially when paired with another subject. Also, students don't just learn the language. The Spanish program is designed to be as immersive as possible - which includes learning the language and the culture, partaking in themed events that are important to the culture, and studying abroad for at least a semester to get fully immersed. Like all Modern Language majors at 91¿ì²¥, students who major in Spanish are required to spend at least a semester studying abroad. Once they reach junior year, students are allowed to use their $1,000 travel scholarship to aid them in this experience.
