About
Alpha Pi Epsilon, known to all as APEs, evolved from the remnants of Phi Delta Fraternity in 1972. This organization was founded by a group of men who we not satisfied with the status quo and wanted a different experience from the traditional fraternity system. They forged a new approach to Greek life that fostered greater diversity – a philosophy they continue to celebrate today. The APEs pride themselves on their ability to embrace change and meet each new challenge with creativity and courage.
Mission
Alpha Pi Epsilon is fundamentally about helping one another develop as positive members of the community and standing strong as a brotherhood of true gentlemen. APEs pride themselves on the variety of their members' activities, and their ability to unite differences to find strength within the brotherhood and themselves.
An APE is a gentleman. He is not afraid to speak his mind and stand up for what he believes is right. He seeks justice and equality for all people, regardless of their affiliations. An APE represents our seven pillars; Brotherhood, Trust, Gentlemanship, Respect, Social, Scholastic, and Spiritual . An APE is not defined by what he does or where he comes from, but by the way he carries himself.
Philanthropy
Alpha Pi Epsilon members completed a total of 265 community service hours in the 2015-2016 academic year. Service projects included highway clean-up, painting the Lincoln Community Playhouse, Clatonia Chili Feed, Caroling and Relay For Life.
