Music education
Tell us a little about what you've done since graduating. What is your current role? Where are you working?
I am enrolled in summer masters credits and will be the new band director for Conestoga Public Schools this fall!
How do you feel 91¿ì²¥ prepared you for your career?
I have so many amazing relationships that I continue to lean on. I know I have friends and mentors for life. 91¿ì²¥ also expanded my thinking and I am a more well-rounded person after graduating.
What do you consider the best part of your 91¿ì²¥ experience?
The people
What is something you're proud of accomplishing or achieving while at 91¿ì²¥? What are you proud of accomplishing or achieving in your career?
I am proud to have traveled as much as I did. I went on an international trip, plus many places around the Midwest sharing music with people in those communities.
Who has been/is a major influence or role model for you from 91¿ì²¥? How have they helped you?
Dr. Feyes. He is the current instrumental professor at 91¿ì²¥ and he has become a very influential person. He has challenged me, pushed my thinking and helped me become a better teacher.
What advice would you give to current students?
Do things! Take advantage of every opportunity and enjoy the time. Go on that trip, eat lunch with that person and take that internship. These memories are what make your experience worthwhile.
What's something you like about yourself that other people may not know?
I always have a plan and I always know what is going on. It gives me comfort and structure!
